Where Does Your Money Go?

The Wish List features charity gifts that have been specifically identified by Save the Children's teams to meet the needs of the children and communities that they work with.

Wish List gifts raise targeted income. This means that when the money is reconciled to the country programmes from the sales of a Wish List item, the money can only be spent on that item and nothing else. In some cases, programmes can spend the income on the transportation of the gifts (for example livestock) but as a general rule the associated costs of the item cannot be bought with Wish List money.

Wish List operate an 80:20 income model, where 80% of the price paid goes directly to the country programmes and 20% will cover the cost of processing, postage and managing Wish List. If you also add a donation or tick the Gift Aid box, your additional support will help to fund Save the Children's work where the need is greatest.

Wish List gifts really do make a real difference to children’s lives and the gifts featured on the list really are needed by our country programmes.
